Our Staff

 

Connie Smith, CVT

Connie is a Certified Veterinary Technician who recieved her Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology from the Minnesota School of Business in 2006. She started working at Southdale Pet Hospital in the spring of 2008. She has 3 pets at home with a collection of perhaps unusual names including: a chocolate lab/springer cross named "Buddy Bear", a cockatiel named "Bird" and a red-earred slider aquatic turtle named "Turtle". Outside the animal world, Connie enjoys camping, reading, puzzling, scrapbooking and spending time with her husband and friends.

 

 

Angela Enz, CVT

Angie graduated from Argosy University in 2002 with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences.  She has been employed at Southdale Pet Hospital as Certified Vet Tech since graduation.  Angie and her husband, Leaf live in South Minneapolis with their daughter, Ella.  The family pets include Oscar, Bell and Levi.  She enjoys spending time with her family, walking Oscar, and reading. 

 

Mary Doran, VT

One of the "old timers", Mary has worked at Southdale Pet Hospital for 20+ years.  A native Minnesotan, Mary attended Medical Institute of Minnesota (now known as Argosy University) for an exciting career as a veterinary technician.  Mary loves working with animals and their owners.  She lives across the river in Eagan with her family and a 7 pound cat, Licorice, who thinks she is "top dog."  Hobbies include running, biking,  and camping, but the highlight is a yearly mission trip to Haiti.

 

Liz Anderson, CVT

A Certified Veterinary Technician, Liz graduated from Minnesota School of Business where she was awarded her Associates Degree in Applied Sciences in 2007.  She has been with Southdale Pet Hospital since fall of 2006.  She enjoys spending time with her three children, running, biking and friends.  Her pets include two Golden Retrievers, Lily and Tucker, one cat, Maxwell, and a Quaker parrot named Yoshi.

 

Sondra Hembd, CVT

Sondra graduated from the Medical Institute of MN (now Argosy Univ.) as a Certified Veterinary Technician in 1994.  She has been employed at Southdale Pet Hospital since that time, with a brief move to Iowa to care for family.  Sondra and her husband, Jim, live in Bloomington with their two Springers, Kami and Rusty.  She enjoys reading, walking dogs, camping, puzzles and Bible study.

 

Sandy Henk, Receptionist

Sandy joined the staff of Southdale Pet Hospital in April 2004.  She lives in Eden Prairie with her husband, Ken, and her cat, Kiki.  She enjoys tennis, cooking, and especially spending time with her six grandchildren.

 

 

Katie Gunderson,Kennel Asst
